Eric Murray is the President and CEO of Temporal Power Ltd. He brings more than 25 years of experience in positions responsible for international business, global sales & marketing and entrepreneurial growth. Eric’s career spans a number of Cleantech success stories who have earned Deloitte “Fast 50” awards, as well as senior executive positions at GE and ABB. Eric is a professional engineer and holds a B-Eng from the Royal Military College and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Pierre Rivard
Chairman of the Board
Pierre has enjoyed an accomplished career with 25 years of experience in business launch and venture growth in the technology sector. He held the position of President and CEO at Hydrogenics Corp (NASDQ: HYGS) for 12 years during which the company was listed #1 on the list of 100 fastest growing companies in Canada. Beyond Hydrogenics, Pierre led three other start-ups as founding CEO, and served 21 years as an Aerospace Engineer in the Canadian Air Force. He holds a Master Degree of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. In 2012, the University of Toronto awarded Pierre a Doctorate Honoris Causa in Mechanical Engineering in recognition of lifetime achievements in energy technology.
Robert Riverso is an Associate at Northwater Capital Management Inc. Robert joined Northwater in February 2011 and has successfully completed investments in a broad range of technology companies in the energy storage, engine technology and software sectors, to name just a few. He joined Northwater following three years at CIBC in their corporate lending division, with a focus on mining and forest product clients. Robert holds a Master Degree of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

James Gillis is an active advisor and member of Temporal Power’s Board of Directors. Mr. Gillis is currently the Managing Director of the Morgan Geare Group. Previously, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Energy for the Province of Ontario and Vice President and Director of TD Securities. Mr. Gillis holds a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman Business School at the University of Toronto.
Jon Piurko is a member of the management team at Northwater Capital Management Inc. His responsibilities include oversight of all of the firm’s operations, transaction negotiation and structuring, due diligence and deal execution, regulatory compliance and legal matters. Jon also manages the IP Funds’ patent management and patent funding sector and sits on the board of i4i and the management committees of MediusTech and Gabriel Technologies. Before joining Northwater, Jon practiced law at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP with a focus on corporate finance, M&A, and private equity.
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Winkels is the CFO of Temporal Power Ltd. He brings 15 years of experience as a senior executive with both early stage technology start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies. Paul has a successful record of venture financing and growing companies from start-up to maturity in a variety of technology sectors. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Vice President, Business Development
Tim Biggs is the Vice President of Business Development for Temporal Power Ltd. Prior to joining Temporal Power he worked as a Business Development leader for Black & Veatch and WorleyParsons. He brings over 20 years of Sales, Marketing and Project Delivery experience in the Energy, Power, Infrastructure, and Oil & Gas industries. Tim leads all business development, sales and marketing activities and initiatives for Temporal Power. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and a Certificate in Management (C.I.M.) from the Canadian Institute of Management. Tim is also a licensed Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Dr. Vicky Sharpe
Vicky J. Sharpe is Senior Fellow at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) providing strategic advice to help shape the global cleantech landscape. Dr. Sharpe was the Founding President and CEO of Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) and was responsible for mobilizing over $5B in public and private capital for commercialization of Canadian cleantech companies. Additionally, Dr. Sharpe has broad governance experience with an ICD.D (2005); is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Enterprise Corporation, Carbon Management Canada Research Institutes (CMCRI); and the Biowaste to Energy for Canada integrated initiative Corp. (BECii). Vicky sits on EnerTech Capital’s Advisory Board and on the Advisory Panel for Mercer’s Sustainable Opportunities Fund. Recently she joined the Board of QUEST (Quality Urban Energy Systems for Tomorrow). Dr. Sharpe holds a PhD in Microbiology and Surface Chemistry, as applied to water pollution control, from Trent University in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Luison has been with Enbridge since 1994 and has held a variety of senior management roles. Currently Mr. Luison is Vice President, Green Power, Transmission and Emerging Technologies. Prior to this position, Mr. Luison was VP, International, responsible for expanding the Enbridge business model outside of North America and for overseeing the operations of Enbridge Technology Inc. Before working for Enbridge, Mr. Luison was employed by Ontario Hydro and The Consumers Gas Company Ltd. Mr. Luison holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from McMaster University.
