CEO Appointment at Temporal Power

Temporal Power, a leading provider of high-performance energy storage systems, announced today that its board of directors has appointed Eric Murray as the new President & CEO, succeeding co-founder and outgoing CEO Cam Carver. Murray joins Temporal Power as the company and the energy storage industry are experiencing a growth inflection point both domestically and abroad.

“Eric brings the proven ability to take an emerging technology company and enable it to become a highly successful provider of commercial products. He has a wealth of diverse international business experience, having held senior leadership positions in the energy and cleantech industries” said Pierre Rivard, Chairman of the Board at Temporal Power. “We are building on the foundation created under Cam’s leadership, adding new capabilities to a solid team, to get to the next level in Temporal Power’s development.” Murray previously served as President & CEO of Tantalus Systems Corp, where he was responsible for planning, directing, and managing all aspects of the Company’s strategy, operations, engineering, business development, and financing. Murray was instrumental in designing and executing the commercial strategies of Tantalus and their strategic alliance with Itron. Prior to joining Tantalus, he held various positions with ABB and GE. Murray also sits on the Cleantech Advisory Board for the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.

The search was led by the Chairman of the Board, Pierre Rivard, and involved a transition period with co-founder and outgoing CEO Cam Carver. Carver, who also founded Energy Storage Ontario, is a serial entrepreneur and was instrumental in building Temporal Power. Mr. Rivard said, “The Board, executive team, and company at large are sad to see Cam depart and we thank him for his outstanding contributions as a co-founder and the chief executive officer of the Company since 2010. We wish Cam great success with his new venture.”
